Too Old to School???

There are so many avenues to writing and one is of course, the ability to learn how to do all the right things to. How to construct your character and or background details, how to give sensory details that pull your readers into the story, describing what your character is feeling, seeing, doing; how they speak or touch or walk, etc. SO much to know and or learn.

I'm facing the big decision of taking a course that is chock full of information that is suppose to make me a good or better writer. But as i've aged, my memory isn't what it used to be. Am I a solid 'bucket' or have i rusted out and have too many holes to hold in all that knowledge? The promise of becoming an honest to goodness, publishing house author! Do I get my bucket ready? Plug all the holes and take my chances?? Hmmmmmm
